Got a job, now coming off JSA. How does it work?

So I've been offered a job today and I'm extremely excited!
I've been signing on for the last 6 - 8 weeks and am due to go to an all day 'back to work' training course on Friday.
I am not due to start my job until 9th August, so what happens now?
I don't really want to go to this course on Friday as it will cost me £3.50 for the bus and I'll have to buy lunch, which I can't really afford to go to. I'm struggling that much.
When do I tell the Jobcentre I have a job? And when do they stop paying me JSA?
Do I tell them now and then they stop everything instantly? Or do I pretend I'm still looking and keep claiming until just before?
I know I need to sign off but have no idea how this works, do I have to make a specific appointment?
I have no idea how it works and have searched the DirectGov site and found nothing!

I recently got a job after being on Jobseekers and they give you a tel number to call if you get employment so you can sign off. I gave the date I was starting the new job and was paid up to that date.0

Ugh bloody annoyed. You cannot get through to my Job Centre, It's constantly engaged.
Have a back to work course tomorrow and need to spend a full day learning how to do CV's and they'll work with us applying for jobs in the local area. I don't want to do that!!
But they've told me that they will probably turn me away once I get there, but unless I call them first I have to turn up.
Well I can't get hold of them and can't afford the bloody bus fare
Really don't know what to do now

Regarding coming off JSA ...
If you want to continue claiming benefits until your new job starts, you have to continue attending the job centre when they ask you to, signing on as usual, and actively looking for work. (As far as they are concerned, you could get short term temp work between now and the 9th August).
Alternatively, you could sign off straight away, and get no benefits for the next couple of weeks, and be free to do what you like. :-)
I believe you are able to claim back the travel expenses for when you are asked to attend the job centre on a day that is not your usual signing day. You'll have to fill in a form when you attend your training.Google is my friend ..... :j0
