Just thought i would do a quick analysis of the most recent BRO/U's here http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/databases/ddirector/viewbrobrudetailslatest.asp
Although the data can be skewed as there are only 9 Orders against 96 undertakings the result is that the average length of a BRO is 5.3 years and the average lenght of an undertaking is 4.2 years so given that you are offered in some cases up to 1 year off for an undertaking it would appear that the orders are on average given for about the same length of time as the undertakings are worked out by the OR to beHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0
