Hi
I was just woundering how often you shopped?
I used to have an old overflow freezer in the garage-but it has now died.
I have been shopping online at tesco once a week-since I do not have a car.
But last weekend I went to a farm shop and they had loads of good cheap frozen stuff- but i could not buy it as no room in my small freezer.
I am now thinking that it might be an idea to buy a small under counter or chest freezer so i can get stuff on BOGOF and a vist to farm shop maybe once a month, and shop online less often.
But it going to cost say £120 for freezer plus running costs-plus will I buy stuff that I don`t really need- although I never throw food out!!

We have two freezers, but only cos both of them were in the house when we moved in. Both are tiny and together make up one normal sized freezer. One is used for storing meat, veg etc and the other is used for storing cooked meals that I've portioned up0

I don't think I'd spend that amount on a freezer, you'd have to get a hell of a lot of cheap food to make that worthwhile
Have you thought about checking your local supermarket boards or local press to see if you can pick one up cheap? If you've a large family or regularly get bargains then it might be worth buying a 2nd hand oneComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Choose a freezer with an "A" economy rating. There is less room inside because the insulation is thicker but the annual running cost is less. Chest freezers are better as the cold air does not "spill" out when you open the lid.
Get the smallest freezer you can manage with. Keep a list of its contents on the outside so you don't "loose" things forever!0
