Trying to work out which is best for me and hubby.......His debts come to approx £15k alone, joint debts are approximately £10k and debts in my own name are less than £2k! We cant decide whether it would be best to both go BR....or just hubby and then I try to stick to paying the debts left behind? that way one of us is still solvent?
Any feedback greatly appreciated

As Dojo has said please contact one of the charities and talk to them and they will go through your options with you.
Obviously we don't know your complete financial history so can't make a call on what you should do but given your debts it may be suggested that your DH goes BR and you go into a DRO as you only have £12k of debt. But obviously the debt charities will be able to advise properly.
When you have an idea of what you are doing then come on here and we will help and support you through the process. Any questions mean while don't hesitate to ask.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Ive spoken to all the charities already and all given different advice tbh, Thanks anyway

CCCS told us we couldnt go BR as didnt have enough money (which shocked me tbh) and National debtline said BR was our only optionGetting back on the Wagon after falling with a thump!

How do you mean you don't have enough money? Does your essential outgoings exceed your incomings and if so by how much?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Nope, not essential outgoings, which is why I was very confused, and tried to clear this up with him but he just kept saying you can't go BR, just offer to pay £1 a month until you are in a better financial situation.
My friend has just been round who was BR and shes been very kind and answered all sorts of questions as much and as best as she could

Hello TC, Well I'd go with National debtline and it's not the first time I have heard this about CCS. So between NDL, your friend and us we will help the best we can.
Best wishes

Thank you so much! It all seems so confusing at the moment, we've made mistakes I guess to get in this situation, so I do not want to make any more
