Reducing Council Tax and also reclaiming

First time poster,

I was wondering if anyone has any infor or experience in reducing their council tax bill,due to a partner regularly working and staying away in reneted properties.

For example. I work as an engineer and work all over the UK on on long duration projects, for which my company normally rents local properties for me and my work mates to live in for the project duration, last project 13 months , and current 6 months.

Is there any reduction avaialble for the council tax at my home address which i share with my partner. for the time i am away.

is this refundable if already paid.

Your advise would be appreciated.

Your 'sole or main ' residence remains at the property so no discount can be given as for Council Tax purposes there are still 2 people resident.
