    Stuff to do with the business is not household expenditure. That should be in the business accounts.

    Remember that you should not be listing the money coming into the business as income. OH's income is (money coming into business) minus (all costs associated with the business) and minus (any cash retained to build the business/towards expected bills) and minus any tax and NI due. That is basically his "take home pay" and therefore his contribution to the household income.
