Divorce and personal compensation

Hello all,
My parents are getting divorced through my mothers infidelity, but my father has asked me to try and find out a couple of things.
My mother has stated that she fully intends to take him for half of the house, yet 50% of this was purchased as a lump sum from compensation from a RTA. Does this have an affect on the capital that will be split.
Secondly I currently live at home with my parents as a single dad of two (I have a residency order to that effect) how will this have a bearing.
I know this isnt strictly a DFW topic, but as you can appreciate things could skew my DF plans depending on the out comes. I am just trying to plan ahead.
Thanks for your heads up.

Think this one needs the expertise of a legal bod or maybe contact CAB. Had thought the situation was being handled diplomatically but obviously things have taken a turn for the worse. Hope you manage to find an answer and also have a happier result. Billie x:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Hi down, yes I agree with Billie, you really need legal advice on this, as divorce law can be a minefield.0

Yes I will direct him to the law firms, but for now I was just putting out tentative enquirers, and to try and find out what sort of questions to be asking. Thank you for your replies.TOTAL AT START £13606.90 27/03/2018
