Invalid CCJ

Hi,
A few years ago I was as fault in a car accident for which I admitted liability. During settlement a CCJ was raised against me rather than the insurance company - and at the time I contacted them to ask they had this removed from my records. I recently checked my credit rating and the CCJ was still on there,I have know phoned my old insurance company and written to them twice without any achnowledgement. I'm not sure how to take this forward, please could someone advise?
