Hi I was hoping someone might be able to help me please.
I've found this website that has the curtain poles i want on it at a good price. Problem is i dont know if it is legit. There is a phone number and email add but no address. I've looked on 'whois' but dont undertand what i should be checking really! The phone number is a sheffield code though and it says the ip is in dublin???? Has anyone used them before?

The Whois is useful for matching up addresses, checking the email address and when the site was first registered amongst other reasons.

The site looks legitimate to me. There is an address on the contact page allbeit hiding behind a box number.

The address on the Domain Registration has a Sheffield S21 postcode which, although not the same as the website address (Sheffield S20) is close by.

The Pole House first registered their site in 2007 so they're not fly-by-night operators.

I've got an add on for Firefox called Flagfox and that tells me that the server for the website is based in the UK. IP address: 212.78.234.39.

Both McAfee Site Advisor and Web of Trust give the site a green rating which is good.
