*** NOT WORKING - NOW COMING UP AT £7.99***

I came accross this while looking for a summer duvet for my little boy, which I though was a great deal!

Silent Night 4.5 tog tog Duvet and Pillow Set now down to £1.99. Previously retailed at £24.99. At the time of posting, in stock for home delivery and plenty were available in a few of my local stores for reservation and pick up.
  • Set contains non allergenic pillow and lightweight duvet to keep cool on warm summer nights.
  • 70% polyester and 30% cotton cover.
  • 100% polyester hollowfibre filling.
  • Machine washable at 40°C.
  • Hand wash pillows.
  • Suitable to tumble dry.

Price of £1.99 only seems to come up if you through the offer of the day website. If you just type the catalogue number in it is coming up at £7.99 (cat no: 127 /5133) on the argos site.

EDIT - Sorry! Will not allow me to post a working link!

My reservation e mail says £1.99 and I have printed a copy off to take to store.

I thought that, regardless of the price on the website or a reservation, you always had to pay the price in store on the day of collection ... So be prepared to pay £7.99.

Nearly......but not quite then lol!! I have to pop to argos anyway to pick up some sand, so will see what happens. Looks like offer of the day may have put £1.99 rather than £7.99 then!

I have just tried it again and it is now coming up at £7.99 for me too. Will take my printed e mail anyway......you never know! Have edited post to save people reading through reams to find it is not working.

    Better luck next time lol!!!

Not always, last week i bought a camera and had reserved it to be collected next day, had £50 off went to collect and had gone back up to full price. Showed them my printed confirmation and they let me have it for the price i had reserved it at. Think it depends on the manager!

Good luck let us know what happened x

Well......just got back from store and I was really lucky as I managed to get it for £1.99. I just entered the reservation number on the self service tills and it came up as £1.99. Interestingly, if I just typed the catalogue number it was coming up at £7.99. It seems I was lucky and reserved it just before the price got changed again (my e mail said £1.99).

Interesting one though, as it seems the reservation held the price at the time that the reservation was made not at the current store price. May have implications for future price errors........here's hoping hey lol!!

    :T

Edit - just to confirm. I did not need to speak to a manager or anything - the computer system showed the reservation as £1.99 as detailed on my e mail reservation.

Glad someone else managed to get them at that price!! I reserved mine at 8.38am. Seems it stopped working within a few minutes of me posting the offer. I wonder why it held them at reserved price though.......as it does usually charge store price. Obviously glitchy, but may have implications for future price errors.
