I had an occasion to use Google Street maps the other day and to my horror I found what I believe to be a Burglars Free Charter. The pictures taken of my property showed the whole of my garden and workshop along with several vehicles (Motorcycles) which are parked outside. I have demanded that google remove these images as I believe it infringes my privacy. CHECK YOUR HOUSE ON STREET MAP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How does this 'infringe' your privacy??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

I doubt any burglars have used GSM any more than actually wandering around streets looking for somewhere to rob. Google publicise they are happy to remove images if you request it - demanding is completely unnecessary, your alarmist post helps nobody.0

Put your motorcycles away?0 -
I'm not sure why this would be a security risk. My house on google streetview shows my car outside. I doubt that means someone's more likely to nick it. And as for workshops and similar, millions of people have these in their gardens. My brother's picture shows my nephew's leg, and no one's stolen him."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

again? are we doing this again?
so all that news coverage of google street view didnt give you a clue as to how it worked?0 -
You can request your images be removed by Google which they do with no problem (they took mine off)
So no need to panic and stamp your feet and demand they are very happy to do it anyway.
1. Go to http://maps.google.co.uk/.
2. Locate the offending scene, e.g. by searching for the postcode, dragging the yellow person on to the map and then moving around to get it on screen.
3. Click on “Report a problem” in small print in the bottom left corner of the photo.
4.Fill in the form.0 -

Too right! Imagine all those complete strangers pausing in their quests to get a look at where Jordan lives to tut over the state of the garage door's paintjob in Random Street, Randomtown! :rotfl:"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
