Songs - help please

Right now I'm stuck!!

How many songs do you need to choose and what are you having?

Guest arriving
Entrance of the bride - Canon D
Signing the registrar - (how many songs?)
Exiting as man and wife

& First dance

Is that right?

Thanks

We've been told to choose 3 for signing the register...there was a thread about this very very recently and others previously - loads of ideas for songs on those. I'm still undecided apart from one definite song while we sign - it's one my OH wrote and recorded for me

Ours is civil but we were told to pick 3. I thought it seemed a lot but met the wedding planning people again last week and they said definitely do 3...they said some photographers take their time doing the pics of the signing! They said if it goes quicker they'll just cut to the 'exit' song

think it's different venues and different registrars do their own thing....there's no rules for it other than the time the registrars are booked for. It's like doing readings - we've been told we can do whatever we want regarding readings - a friend getting married in a different part of the country has been told no more than 2. I spoke to a registrar from the office who cover our venue and she was lovely - tied in with what the guy at the venue told us - very relaxed, very flexible. You might also want to check with both venue and registrar as I've heard of cases where a couple were told one thing by the hotel where they were marrying and another by the registrar doing the ceremony
