Thank you so much, my nerves are slowly beginning to un-frazzle, it's times like this that I curse my forgetfulness

I will send off to update it (photo and name) as soon as DH gets paid.:heart2: DMP Mutual Support Thread Member 370 :heart2:0 -
I sent my passport to show my name change, that had no date on with regards to when my name changed, I think you can send passports rather than marriage certificates for proof of i.d name. Check the form...
That's interesting, on the paperwork they sent me they didn't mention that they accepted passports. How would they know that was the 'old' you? I thought you had to have something that showed your old and your new name? Glad you managed to use that though! xx:heart2: DMP Mutual Support Thread Member 370 :heart2:0 -

The form lists the acceptable documents and passport isn't on there

Have they only started charging for photos? I had the old style licence and when I moved I had to send it in with a photo - £3 in one of those booths - but I don't recall paying for it!! It was a few years ago mind!
I know that back in 2008 they were charging £17.50, because I read it on another thread, but not sure when they started charging?:heart2: DMP Mutual Support Thread Member 370 :heart2:0 -

The £1000 fine is there for a reason, it is threatening to see, but encourages you to keep up to date.
It certainly did the trick for me!!! Thanks again, I can't wait until payday so I can just send it off and not worry

Thanks Mrs Optimist - it was a bit longer back than that;) You learn something new on here every day:)0

It's not mandatory to change your name when you marry, as far as the DVLA are concerned perhaps you decided to keep your maiden name, and then changed your mind. They're not to know, and frankly will probably not care.0

oh, maybe things have changed since I got married, but I think you shouldn't have reason to worry. There are people out there doing a lot worse than being a few weeks late renewing their license. Be honest and I think you'll be ok, like everyone else is saying. Good luck#39 - Save £12k in 20250

Also it's not law that you have to change your name when you get married is it? You may have just decided to use your husband's name now.....LBM: June 2010 DMP started: 1/8/2010
