I have 2 toddlers and need to claim child maintenance from my ex. The job center did say I would get a phone call, but my home phone isn't working.
I have never done this before and have no idea where to even start.
We are on good terms - can we just sort something out between ourselves? How do we work out what is fair?
Sorry I am completly clueless on this

Check out this Government website:
http://www.cmoptions.org
It includes a template agreement and a calculator that you can use as a guide when negotiating with your ex what the payments will be.
You can go to the CSA if you wish where they will handle all the paperwork, make a caclulation and ensure your ex pays.
www.csa.gov.ukWhen dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
If you want to remain on good terms avoid the CSA like the plague!SingleMumAndProud wrote: »I have 2 toddlers and need to claim child maintenance from my ex. The job center did say I would get a phone call, but my home phone isn't working.
