Hi all, just did through quidco my contents insurance renewal which came in at 105 quid for the year.
Now if barclays say they will give back 95 quid through quidco then makes it 10 quid ? Do you think theyll allow that ?
Cant see it myself. By the way im new to quidco and have yet to see any money paid ! Well wait and see.

notes i just done my contents through direct line through quidco, its £118.85 and direct line give you £60 (already tracked) so that make the policy £60, surely they would honour it

I've got my car insuarnce for £220 and it's tracked twice as £100 each so my insurance should only be £20 if they honour it!

Barclays have the "we will beat your renual quote or lower our price by £100 and give you £50"..
well. they could not beat my mums Contents insurance.. so lowered their price..
The renual was £54.. with egg.. Barclays £85..
So barclays matched the £54.. and sent us a cheque for £50..
one years contents insurance £4..
So I do not see why they will not honor the Quidco deal..The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…

Our Building and Contents insurance is due for renewal in a few weeks time. We've always renewed both together in the past but I'm just thinking that it would be worthwhile going through Quidco and renewing the Buildings Insurance and the Contents Insurance separately, for two lots of cashback (our quotes are around £120 each for Buildings and Contents). Esure offering £70 and Barclays offering £95 cashback would see a real dent in the cost and would be cheaper than renewing both through the one company).
Anyone see any flaws in doing this?0 -
my contents renewal is up soon too, with CIS it's 65 for the year, with Barclays it's 105 so I was considering going through them using quidco for the £95 cashback, but like you I was unsure if they would honour it.0

I went through topcashback when I took out my Barclays insurance in May. The cashback didn't track automatically, and topcashback have had no success in claiming manually.
If you have a look on the topcashback website you'll see tracking reliability is only 57%, and no luck whatsover with manual claims.
So, almost half of those going to Barclays through topcashback have not received the cashback
Statistics as at 9 Sept:
Avg Tracking Speed 7 days 9 hrs
Avg Payment Speed 10 wks 4 days
Tracking Reliability 57%
Failed to Track 43%
Manual Claims Complete 0%
This compares poorly to other insurance companies through topcashback, for example Zurich -
Avg Tracking Speed 2 days 22 hrs
Avg Payment Speed 5 wks 3 days
Tracking Reliability 95%
Failed to Track 5%
Manual Claims Complete 20%0 -

Total weight loss so far is 16llbs:T

You could do one on Quidco and one on TCB.The curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile0 -
I would suggest treating the cashback as a bonus rather than incorporating it into the price of the product - there is always a risk that it does not track and then you are stuck with a potentially more expensive policy.
Alternatively you could use the 14 day cooling off period to cancel and try somewhere else if needed. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -

I did exactly that with Lloyds TSB with no problems. My renewals from Lloyds came through separately on different days so i just reapplied for each one through Quidco as they came in. 2 lots of £60.00 tracked and paid out no hassle.:jTara the Jack Russell, gone to the bridge 5 February 2014.
