I Want a Beaver Scout uniform

Little boy has just joined Beavers, and I'm looking to buy a uniform for him - anyone recommend the best place to buy, and also any voucher codes if possible. Did have a look and have noticed you can order from John Lewis as well as from the Scout Website, both have places for coupon/voucher codes on their checkouts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hello OP  I have 4 children and they have been through rainbows, Brownies and Guides what I did was price it up locally but also look on ebay.

I was surprised to see so many uniform items advertised where the child joined then left a couple of weeks later. Some of the items I purchased still had the shop tags on. So I would check Ebay.

  • Thanks, I did try ebay, as I did do this with my daughter who also just joined Brownies (worked a treat that time), but there doesn't seem to be as many people selling Beavers uniforms. did put in a bid on one uniform, but was out bid near the end, and wasn't willing to bid any higher as would have ended up paying as much for a 2nd hand one as ordering a new one direct from Scout Shop (at least adding in postage). But will keep an eye out and maybe I'll stand a better chance mid week. Thanks for the advice though

I've just bought an entire Beavers uniform from John Lewis using vouchers I've accumulated through Pigsback - obviously no help if you don't use pigsback - but I can recommend the John Lewis shop itself (although my son is rather small for his age - I suspect the trousers are not going to fit him for a few years yet!).

I have a Beaver Jumper (that is like new) that is surplus to our needs if you're interested in it let me know via pm. I'll check size when I go to my mams as it is there and let you know.

Have you asked the Beaver leaders? Some groups encourage parents to return old uniform to 'recycle' it......
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
