Banks not playing by the rules...

Hi guys...
I owe Natwest a rather large (+/-£1000) amount of money which has been referred to a collections agency, more-so Triton Credit Services.
Whilst this debt has been referred I have received very little communication from the company.
I understand that under the CCA 1974 a creditor (or its agency) must send me a statement of my account at least once every 12 months and notification of default as it happens.
In the last 18 months I have received nothing from either Natwest or its affiliations.
The last thing they put on my credit record was a Default back in 2008... since then nothing, not even a scratch from Triton.
My questions are:-
* If a bank breaks the Consumer Credit Act 1974, does that make the agreement, and with it all outstanding monies, null and void?
* Where do I stand in terms of making a complaint? Bank? OFT? Ombudsman?
Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Shaun

Hi
if they have defaulted and terminated the account in 2008, their obligations change. The default stays on your credot record for 6 years, satisfied or not.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
