Threatening letter

I have been in a mess recently and buried my head in the sand regarding my debts which im sure most of us have done but know we shouldnt. I have just secured a new job after being out of work for quite a while and am wanting to sort this out now as its keeping me awake at night.
I have a letter yesterday from HL Legal Solicitors regarding Capquest investments ltd v Me.
Balance £466.53
It says unless this account is paid in full or a satisfactory proposal is made by 26th July court proceedings may be made against me without further notice.
In the event that they are necessary the following costs will be added
Balance: £466.53
Court Costs: 30
Solicitor Cost: £50
Interest where applicible will be added on a daily basis.
Are they still going to be reasonable when i ring them? As in if i offer them £30 a month will they accept.
Getting a bit worried and want to sort this out.

I would ring them with your offer ASAP, they may well ask for a breakdown of your inome and expenses.
Being brave and phoning your creditors is the first step towards being debt free.
Good Luck x0 -
Personally i would not ring them, does the letter say they will goto court or they may goto court. Usually it is may, and means they won't.
Interest is unlikely to be added if they are the owners of the debt as it is usually not a transferable agreement once they have brought it.
Use the sample letters to make an offer of payment - http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/debt_advice.php#6Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Dont phone them send RECORDED DELIVERY LETTER ,KEEP A COPY O ffer them what you can reasonably afford , First pay your priority bills ,rent gas, electric, etc, then food ,transport to work ,and any other living expenses, see what you have left then make them an offer based on this. They will make all sorts of threats its just bluff, a judge would agree with me , They can only have what you can reasonably pay ,try not to worry .GRADUATED FIRST CLASS WITH HONORS FROM THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS RECOMENDED READ IF BY RUDYARD KIPLING0

Wow thanks guys.
It says MAY take court action etc, so if i send them the sample letter to the address it says to send communications to then that should suffice? then hopefully they will accept?
Which letter would you send from that list from National Debtline?
many thanks0 -
Use letter - "Ask a creditor to accept token payments or no payments on this debt". (From the down down list)
And put in the figure you can afford. [STRIKE]However if on benifits i believe it will be just £1[/STRIKE] (scratch that, im thinking of another someone else's topic), give national debtline a free phone call to confirm it
