My debts

I really want to get rid of all smaller debts on my dmp.
At the moment I have:
Lloyds loan £4600 (the big one)
Lloyds overdraft £1400
Vodafone £380
Eon £300
Barclaycard £410

Think that's it..... Oh and £185 Halifax cc.
My credit rating is shot to pieces, and I'm desperate to get it sorted !!

My plan at the moment is to get the £1400 overdraft paid. Going to use hubbys £700 student maintenance loan in December so that's half done. Then I hope with hard work I can get the rest paid.
Jan and feb I want to get eon paid off.
March and April get vodafone done.
Then I think there's just the loan to pay, which I'd like to go back to my original payment plan with them. Do you think that's possible??

Also voda and eon are with dca and would accept f&f so that would be a saving.

Any thoughts.

    Hi costaerer,

I hope I can offer some useful advice regarding the E.ON balance.

May I ask if there is a particular reason for the arrears? Does the £300 relate to an old property you vacated? Is the amount owing a result of E.ON billing you incorrectly?

I wouldn’t expect a DCA to allow you to not pay anything towards this £300 for a further 5-6 months without further attempts at collecting this amount.

E.ON and the DCA should be happy to let you set up a payment plan to pay the amount back gradually, and this would also be seen in a good light as it shows a willingness to pay. No payments may give the impression that you don’t intend to pay the amount at any time.

If the balance is in anyway a result of E.ON’s actions the amount of time the repayment plan covers could be extended so the monthly or weekly amount you would be asked to pay is much less and hopefully more manageable.

I don’t mean to pry and I understand what it is you are planning to do; I just wanted to make you aware of the processes E.ON and the DCA would typically follow.

    Hi E-ON Brain
I think the OP is going to continue the payments for E-on via the DMP, and then be in a posistion to offer a settlement figure next year

Costaerer, if you pay £700 into your DMP that will be split on a pro rata basis:o

Have you got Full and Final settlement offer in writng for the OD?
or are you just planning to ?
