gym concessions when on jobseekers allowance

Hello, this is my first time on MSE so if i make any mistakes i apologise in advance.
I was told not long ago by a friend I have lost touch with that I could get cheap entry into the local leisure centre with a concession card if I am in receipt of benefits.
My friend paid an initial £20 for induction and then £1 entry for every visit there after.
I have scowered the internet trying to find information on this but with no joy.
Could you tell me wether this is true and if not is there some other kind of cocession for gym entry when on jobseekers allowance.
I want to use the Altrincham Leisure Centre which is part of Trafford Leisure.
Thankyou for any help you can give.:D

Surely the quickest way to get an answer would be to call the gym?Gone ... or have I?0

But that wouldn't result in an interesting debate.;)"On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0

i think your right. It used to be called a leisure card. Ask at your local council.:footie:0

That took all of 20 seconds to find. There's a website you many find useful called Google. Try searching for it on the internet.0 -
