For all those aeroplane buffs, nuts and aficionados, and any normal people that might be interested (especially those in and around Derby), that haven't made it to the Farnborough airshow .......
The ALL NEW (until yesterday not seen outside of America) BOEING 787 DREAMLINER will be "on show" tomorrow (Tuesday 20th) afternoon.
Get your binoculars and telephotos lenses ready if you want to get really close
As an acknowledgement to Derby and the Rolls Royce employees responsible for the TRENT 1000 engines that power it, it's coming for a flypast.
It should be leaving Farnborough at around 16:40 and (if it goes according to plan) will be flanked by 2 other aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce engines. A SPITFIRE and a HURRICANE
It will fly solo to Derby, passing (so I'm told) low(ish) over East Midlands airport sometime around 17:00 hours, before flying low over the Rolls-Royce civil aerospace division site in Sinfin, Derby.
It is hoped that the plane will make 2 passes over the factory before continuing north over the city of Derby, taking a route over Pride Park and Derbyshire County Cricket Club's ground.
It is expected to be over the city between 17.15 and 17.45 and flying at an altitude of under 2000ft, which should give everyone a good view.

AND OH SO QUIET, apparently RR said that the design made the Trent 1000 the quietest jet engine in the world - can't disagree
