Regardless of this story, its pretty much guaranteed that the US economy is going to crumble under the massive weight of their exponential debt growth, they have 2 decades at best, it maybe as little as one. Add peak oil into the mix and they doomed.

I was attempting to ask Asheron a serious question and you spoiled it by wittering on about expontential debt.

Well you could just ask the question and get on with it. I guess poor Asheron needs to play some kind of guessing game to establish what the problem is, and even then he will be accused of not caring.

    No he didn't.

    The usual misinformation and lies.

How pathetic, but just what we have come to expect.

A former advisor to the Chinese central bank, and influential economist, has called for his nation to diversify away from U.S. treasury holdings.

"Although assets in other currencies and forms are not an ideal replacement for U.S. Treasury bonds, diversification should be a basic principle," Yu wrote in the China Securities Journal.
"When demand for U.S. Treasury securities is strong, it's a rare opportunity for us to gradually pull back. That way, it will not have a big impact on prices and China will not suffer too much," he said

    A diversified portfolio

    Now that's a novel idea !!!

It's OK, I realise I spoke out of turn and am already out of my depth. It won't happen again... and I'll find a little job to do to make up for it.

It's not just the US who are doomed by peak oil a.d.

Exponential debt growth is normal, most things grow exponentially, over the short term they appear linear.
