Can anyone recommend an offset?

hi all

I've currently got an offset mortgage with barclays/woolwich.

I've been telling a friend of mine how great they are and he now wants to do the same thing. I'm not sure whether there are other providers out there better than mine though (I'm paying 0.5% plus base rate...currently 5.25% but I've checked the site this morning and the rate is 0.75% plus base rate without fees)

Can any of you recommend any other providers?

How do you find their service?

Online, can you view all accounts including your mortgage?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Others that offer this sort of thing include Intelligent Finance and First Direct - they may be worth trying

I also normally use the website below which has quite good best buy tables, but Offset don't seem to be covered unless I'm mistaken

  • Building societies such as the Yorkshire Building Society do semi-offset accounts, savings accounts against mortgages, but they are not current account offsets. They have however won best Mortgage lenders for the last couple of years.

Even if not interested in theirs the calculator on the site is a useful tool.
