Depends on the size of room you put it in and how loud you want it to go. 2W * 2 would be fine for eg a smallish bedroom that the listener doesn't want to be deafened.

we bought DS1 an ipod touch last month and this came free with it. It's fine, not particularly top end sound for your lounge but for kitchen / bedroom its ok

I got it free with the Itouch. I thought it was fine, but its not loud enough for my teenagers!

My daughter has this one, but it is dearer:

This one looks good, and not as dear, I would be well chuffed if I received this as a pressie,

It would be useful if the OP put the price of this deal in the title so people would save time without having to click through to another site.

A local shop has one of these behind the till.
As the guy that owns it said never ever dock the ipod with it as it tries to charge it and flattens the speaker batteries very quickly. There is a 3.5mm jack which is the way to do it apparently.

Sounds not bad for a wee speaker, although you would struggle to hear it above two people talking
