Is there anything we can do?

I'd really appreciate any advice on offer - our situation has spiralled after both leaving uni as mature students in debt, then due to promotion and unavoidable house move, taking bigger mortgage without taking our debt levels into account. Partner not able to find work straight away (OK now) and were already living beyond our means as soon as had moved. Took secured loan to consolidate most of debts which brought monthly payments down slightly and relied on pay rises to bring us back in line but both our companies have frozen pay for 2 years. Used credit cards to live on, all now up to limit. Life is absolutely miserable as all we do is go to work, come home and wait to go back to work. Each month is a nightmare to get through financially and if anything happened to our car, we couldn't afford to fix it then we wouldn't even be able to get to work. I've done the SOA but not sure how to attach it. I'll try and work it out.

Hi Molly,

I replied to your thread with the SOA attached. However, from what you've said on this thread, things are much worse and there is no money left each month. Hopefully someone may have a better suggestion, but Nationaldebtline or the Consumer Credit Counselling Service could be viable options.
