Hi there,
I recently only just found out about these PPI charges and reclaiming them back, and a few months ago i called natwest to try to get these stopped, they told me i had to fill a form out to stop the chargers and i couldn't just consent to stopping it over the form. I sent the form back signed etc and still the charges are being applied, i did this 3 TIMES and they keep saying they never received the forms! I even sent it via recorded delivery the last time to make sure someone had signed for it at the correct address!
I got my natwest credit card a few years ago (stupidly when i turned 18 they offered me it on a plate and i took it, with a credit limit of £1350. I did not know about the PPI charges and was not told about them, when i got online banking almost a year ago i noticed these charges and because i could only pay a certain amount a month off my credit card i was slapped with the PPI charges which would make me go over my agreed limit and i would then be charged with over the limit fee's, so i've been struggling to pay it off.
I have been into the branch and tried to sort stuff out but i'm not getting anywhere, the only thing i can do is claim these misold PPI charges back as i do not need the cover.
Does anyone know who i would specifically send letters to? And also are there many success stories out there?
I would appreciate any advice! I don't quite know where to start...
