Can anyone recommend which brand is best for range cookers? I know Smeg are supposed to be good and get used on TV chef shows etc, but we have some max dimensions:
100 cm width (1000 mm) max.
90-91 cm height approx, give or take a few cm.
60 cm depth approx
We are getting a glossy/piano black kitchen installed and need a nice range cooker to go with it. Is it worth shelling out for dual fuel, what does that mean, it has an electric and gas oven or does that refer to the hobs?
Budget is about £1200 (but flexible). Please help!

I bought the Rangemaster Classic in black with chrome trim in 2002.
It still looks beautiful and having a large gas oven and a tall electric fan oven is really useful.
Almost all the parts go in the dishwasher.
This is the picture but not where I bought mine from.
Rangemaster are part of the Aga group.
The hobs are gas.
It's worth buying the matching hood too to finish it off.

Thanks Sophie. I have been looking at Rangemaster cookers but all the width dimensions are either 110cm or 90cm which means one is too big while the other is small and wont have a flush fit.
I was sold on Rangemaster but the size issue is a bit of a let down. Kudos to anyone who can recommend the next best thing.Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.0
