Just to wish you luck friday (though I know you'll be Ok) and bump you for the other question...
I think you can do voluntary repo not sure of best way but know the advise is don't sign anything that comes from nr esp after br.

 Hi mib1975,
 Congratulations!!!!!!
Believe me - best thing you can ever do!
Absolutely nothing to be nervous about!!
I went BR last month - the relief is tremendous. (Hey - I can even eat now!!)
Re house - have you checked this out with FREE debt advisors - like CAB? I recommend CAB as they saved MY house for me.
Whatever happens, just know that everyone here wishes you all the very best.

            hi there
as doshdolt says have you taken advice from one of the free debt charities? the judge will ask if you have taken advice
 www.nationaldebtline.co.uk
 www.cccs.co.uk
 www.citizensadvicebureau.co.uk
if you are going ahead with the reposession then a simple note to northern rock will suffice. DO NOT SIGN THE FORMS THEY SEND YOU WHATEVER THEY SAY as you would become liable for the shortfall when the house is sold, creating a new debt after br
hopefully someone who has been through a repo will be able to give more of an answer
 good luck for Friday x0

thanks for all the replies, the nr put is in touch with payplan who advised br. we cancelled a dd for a lloyds loan last week who where then on the phone yesterday asking why we didnt pay loan(even though they went into our account and took £167, half of what we owed leaving us with no money)we told them really sorry but going br and cant afford to pay, the woman then said she was going to put the £167 back!!!!!
filled out my forms for court last night doing wifes tonight, went to barclays yesterday who then said "sorry you need an appointment!"so opening that up on wednesday now.
