should bailiff payments take so long?

Our daughter (nrp) has being having arrears collected from her bank account on the 15 of the month by the bailiff, who then sends the money onto the csa. We have been waiting for the payment anything from 3 weeks and more for the bailiff to send these payments to the csa, the last payment they collected from her was the 15 June and we are still awaiting the payment, come to that the csa have yet to receive it, is this acceptable and normal practise?

Or is it just a way for the bailiff to make "extra money" from interest on money whilst it is in their bank? if so surely this cannot be right.

Was it your daughter who told you the payments had been taken and that is what you are going on? With any non paying non resident parent, if it's gotten to the point where bailiffs are involved - I doubt I'd be believing that the payments had been taken until I physically saw them :)

Yes the payment has been made, I have seen my daughter bank statement and the CSA have confirmed that they have received the paperwork from the bailiff saying that the debt is now CLEAR, but they say they have yet to receive the payment from the baililiff.

Yes, it was our daughter who told us the payment had been taken, and yes we have seen the proof ourselves, she showed us her bank statement which shows that the money has been taken.

Frankly, it all depends on the terms of the Contract that the bailiff has with the CSA. It COULD be that they must submit payments weekly ot even monthly.

Received a phone call from CSA today confirming that they have the missing payment, they received it from the baillif on the 18 JUNE!!!!, it has not been passed for release yet and we should receive it by 30 July, if we havent we should phone up and enquire why we have not received it.

What on earth do they think we have been phoning them up for? It was the CSA who kept telling us that they had not received it!!!
