Free days out

Something for the weekend! Saw a brochure in my library the other day about free days out this weekend.

"European Heritage Open Days 2006 will take place on 9th and 10th September 2006."

"European Heritage Open Days gives everyone the opportunity to visit interesting buildings during the second weekend in September FREE of CHARGE. The buildings range from castles, cottages, churches, courthouses to canals! There is sure to be something of interest for everyone. There are more than 220 properties, sites and walks participating over the weekend. A full brochure is available from libraries and Tourist Information Centres throughout Northern Ireland."

Here's the link where you can download the brochure:

There's a couple of kids things & a photo comp as well:

Some National Trust properties are free on Saturday as well.

We made it to about 4 of the venues during this weekend, including restorations own Cushendun Old Church. It was well worth the travelling and we will certainly be taking part again next year!
