Sky Europe are offering FREE flights from Birmingham to Krakow

Let's not start a debate about the use of wording - if you really thought they'd pay the government's tax for you then it seems you'll need a space shuttle to get you off the planet you're currently living on to take up this offer!!!
And, this offer seems to be extended until Sept 24th!!
If anyone can find a return to Bratislava leaving Friday (am) returning Sunday (pm) for under £27.25 (incl taxes, CC fees, 20KG baggage) then I'll admit it's not the "greatest flight offer" I've seen in a while!!0 -
Until people stop abusing the word "free" then I shall complain about it, sorry. By all means advertise great offers - just don't propagate lies about them to attract attention to them. It undermines your cause.Burtie wrote:Let's not start a debate about the use of wordingTime is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
From an email just received from Central Wings:
This week only, between September 18 and September 24, 2006, tickets for chosen flights will be available for only 1 EUR/GBP (one way excluding taxes and charges)! Visit our website at https://www.centralwings.com
By the way re the Birmingham flights a cheap way to get there from Southampton or Bournemouth is megatrain.com (as little as £1!) - to Birmingham city not the airport... http://www.megatrain.com/stops/"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

I have looked to book flights from Manchester to Krakow. I am confused though. You have to book as singles to get the deal. Outbound flight I am quoted £46 in taxes plus £3 credit card fee for 2 adults. But for the single flight for journey home, it says £151 in taxes plus £20 credit card fee for 2 adults.I do not understand why the taxes can be so much more on the one journey? And even more so, I do not understand how the credit card fee can be any more or less?!0

No, you do not need to book as "singles".
If you do book singles, the INBOUND flight is always in the currency of departure - thus you are looking at paying in Polish Zltoychs not pounds sterling..0 -
Thanks Burtie. Will try booking as a return then - I thought the offer was for single only because on the SkyEurope homepage where it has a box listing flights with offers, at the bottom it has an asterisk and says 'one way'.0
