Anyone sell new stuff at boot sales?

Hi All :D

I am looking to start selling clothes/jewellery at my local boot sale (i work full time so it would be extra income - i would obviously declare it) Just wondering how much success people have? My experience is that people want to pay as little as possible so I am concerned that my stuff wouldnt sell (wouldnt be expensive stuff but not 50p either)

Does anyone sell new at boot sales? I would be grateful

It all depends how cheaply you can source your wholesale stock.

I did a car boot yesterday and as well as the usual [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] highly collectable nick nacks I did have a few odds and ends of brand new jewellery left over from a business venture a couple of years back. I sold virtually nothing that was new, a couple of diamonte figure brooches went for £1, a couple of new and tagged necklaces were picked up and looked at but people would not pay £1 and were offering 20-50p each.

However the car boot ( a huge one) had mainly dealers buying and I had several requests for old jewellery, gold, watches hallmarked items (which I hadn't taken). New modern jewellery may do better at a smaller car boot sale where there are more private browsers and less dealers.
