Not sure if this should have been posted under the fashion board, but it's wedding related sooo... I've been invited to a friends wedding in october - have narrowed down my selection to two dresses, one is black and one is purple.
I'd like to wear a fascinator or feathery hair clip, but my question is, should the colour of that match the dress or match the other accessories, i.e. bag and shoes? I'm thinking purple accessories if I go with the black dress (incl a new purple ribbon tied round it) or black accessories if I wear the purple dress. Help please!

I would go for the colour of the shoes also. I did wear one to a wedding last year, it was purple, my dress was black with splashes of pink & purple on it, I almost went for a black one, but was feeling daring so picked out the purple in the dress.
