Platinum wedding rings - Ace Jewellery of York?

Hi All,
I so can't believe how much platinum has increased in price since I got engaged (should have bought the rings then!!!).
I found a website called Ace Jewellery of York, and they are really reasonable compared with Samara James, who was the cheapest we'd found so far (and who we got my engagement ring from). Hubby-to-be's ring is £150 cheaper with them, and mine nearly £300!
I just wondered if anyone had heard anything good/bad/indifferent about them?
Also, I found this little graph which is updated daily for platinum prices. It seems that the jewellers don't change their prices this frequently, but if I'd known about the price of platinum way back, we may have saved quite a lot of money! (Compared with 18 months ago, our wedding ring budget has had to increase by a grand!!!).

Thanks muchly if you do have any advice or anything also. x

I can't believe the price increase either. My engagement ring was £299 and includes 3 small diamonds (can't remember what carat they are)
For a simple plain band we are looking at £700  there's no way we can afford that so looks like titanium or palladium for me (any other metal will be wore away against the platinum)

We got our wedding rings from a company called 'form'. They are based in leeds and offer a bespoke service. We just went for plan banbs - mine was a plain, raised one and cost £519. My husband went for white gold (but imported stuff, so it won't ever rub off to be yellow gold). We looked around and the prices were very competative. They were also really nice guys and will polish your rings for free, for life!:T0

We have got quoes (but for white gold) to have somemade especially for us by a jeweller near where we live, for around £500 the pair. You could try the birmingham jewellery quarter, as I know they are really competitive around there, and my friend got her platinum wedding ring from there about 8 months ago.0
