You can normally take them to your local rubbish dump and they will deal with them there (since you cannot give monitors to the dustbin men)0

Try giving your local council a ring - they collect some bulky items for free to stop them being dumped illegally.Alex Jones0

Hi all,
Didn't I read somewhere about new Euopean legislation that means manufacturer / resellers are responsible for disposal of products that contain harmful chemicals like fridges, Monitors etc?
I agree though it would be easir if the council would take it away or if you can dump it at the local council tip.
Just a thought.0 -
:T Let me introduce you to the FREECYCLE network - just Google it..
Network all over UK, you register for your local area and offer goods you no longer want, for free. I have just got rid of my large old monitor (and bunk beds and wendy house and old film cameras etc). Never ceases to amaze me what people need. Yes people come to your house but I have got rid of lots and met some really nice people.
In some cases you can also ask for stuff. I have been far more ruthless in decluttering now I know it is not all going to the tip.
:money: Shhh don't tell Martin, might put this site out of business cause it's all free...even Martin can't beat that one:rolleyes:0 -
Try googling waste disposal and your local council name - my LA has a list of recycling/disposal sites telling you which site takes what.0
