Trying to change a fuse in a plug!

Trivial question time!

My Dd's bedside lamp stopped working when she changed the bulb. I wanted to check the fuse hadn't blown, but there are no screws on the plug other than the small ones to hold the cable secure and I can't seem to p[rise the plug apart.

Is there a way of opening this plug, please? This stuff is not my forte :o.

Thank you.

If it is a moulded plug, then it will not come apart. The fuse will be under a small flap, which can be prised out. It might well be red in colour as suggested by frugalmacdugal.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

    Thanks for your replies!

There doesn't appear to be an external fuse holder. The plug is actually formed in 2 halves, and if I force it I can make a slight gap appear, there just doesn't seem to be an obvious way to separate the 2 halves and there is a rubber moulding where the cable goes into the plug, which also seems to secure the 2 halves together.

Photo (not very good, sorry) here.

The plug does have the BS mark. I had already removed one of the cable screws, that's why there's only one showing....doesn't make any difference though.

    Thanks again

Isn't there normally a 3rd screw under the single pin. What's the white label thing on your plug, is it covering something?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    Oh you little star!!

It's a white paper sticky label and when I put my reading glasses on and take it to the light, it says "SECURITY" 3 times........and when I peel it off there's a little screw underneath.

I refuse to allow myself to feel stupid....even though I am.

    Thank you m'dear!!:T
