Ohhh i'm scared!!! Luckily they haven't opened it, it's waiting in the safe for me at work.
Would debt collectors/creditors write to me at work? I've had phone calls months ago where i've answered and said that they have the wrong number.....
It could be Halifax?
Anyone had this before? x

Hi LittleMonkey. It's possible if your creditors know where you work that they could send a Private & Confidential letter to your employer for your eyes only. Years ago, I used to work in the collections dept of a Finance House (rip off merchants basically) and this is something we used to do. I always used to send a letter as Private & Confidential to an employer, but put the letter in another sealed envelope, just in case it was opened. I cant guarantee that this is something other firms do though.
We also used to write to the bank we had on record and ask them to post a blank, stamped envelope to the address they held on record too. Thankfully, i got out of that particular game over 15 years ago now ... these days, I'd have been dismissed due to the debts that I have!I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum
Cos how can you be gloomy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Ohhh gawd, bet that wasn't a good job
My plan is to get to work before anyone else does to open it

No, it wasnt! I did it long enough to get some experience to go into Corporate credit control ... glad I made the move! (I was pretty useless at it too)
Theres an easier way to get round that - this actually happened to me, too! You just say it was a letter from a long-lost relative, who's been writing to your last known employers, who told them where you were working, but not your address! My Grandad from America (have seen since I was a nipper) wrote to me that way.I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum
