I reckon over the last six years HSBC have charged me 10 gizillion ponds in charges ( well not really if only!!! i reckon it must be near the £1000 mark) my query is can i claim these charges back even though i am about to start a DMP and i have CC and OD debt with HSBC - if i get the charges back i can clear some of the debt - or would l be pouring salt on their wounds

You can claim the charges back and damn right u should! Its your money!!!!
I would ask cccs if they think paying the debts back with the money is the best idea but to be honest that is what i am doing! When i get my charges back i should be sort of ok!!!!

I have heard that if you start claiming back charges the banks can get awkward and start refusing your offers of repayments.
Any truth to this?0 -
thanks sgx.saint thats what i am worried about - should you leave it a few months before trying, that said the money would make a small dent in my big big big huge horrible debt:o0
