I think technically it would be included in the bankruptcy if it was owing at the time of your BR, and if you paid it then the OR would view it as treating one of your creditors with preference, however morally you had the op, which I should imagine would cost thousands, knowing that you only had to pay £200 as you are fortunate enough that your employer as Private Health cover for their employes, paid the £80 and now are not going to pay the balance.
And I should imagine your employer will end up stumping up the £120 to maintain the policy.....Do they know about your BR?????
I would think long and hard about your decision.Louise0 -
Hello motherb, I would phone your OP about your dilema.....it is a tricky one as Louise has said. Please let us know what you had to do.
Best wishes

Did the bill come from your employer, the health insurance firm or the hospital? If it was from the insurance or the hospital you should definitely talk to your OR about including it in the BR. If it's your employer, you should think about telling them about the BR.0
