Is that cheap?

Options
Just sitting here with the Netto ad leaflet and they have a box of Ariel for 90 washes for 13.99. Now is that cheap and worth me getting it or shall I rather have a cup of tea and stay home?

Thanks

I dont think its that cheap TBH

Although in saying that you probably can get double the washes out of it, as manufacturers always overstate how much you need.

saying that tho those big boxes you can get round here for about that most of the time, Ive bought a few of them over the years, dont have space for it now!

How many kilos does it weigh snoogiewoogie? My 11.4 kg box of Bold was from Costco and was £13.45 plus VAT, it says 120 washes but I'll get double that.

Hmm, not really much of a bargain then. I think you could do better. Can you use Costco?

  • I usually buy the aldi washing powder, but those are tablets so a bit hard to compare really!

Can't use Costco because we don't have a card! Is it easy to get a card??

Re Costco, there are two kinds of membership, Trade and Individual. Trade is for people who have a business. They have a list of 'occupations' that can join as Individual members, these are mainly Public Sector, Health or Social Services type of workers, plus (bizarrely, I thought) Chartered Accountants, and a lot of big companies can get membership for their employees. For example, my neighbour works for L'Oreal, and another friend works for NTL and they can both get membership . You can email them for a full list, I found them very helpful. Anyway, if you know someone else who has a Costco card you can ask them to get you on as an Additional member - it will cost you about £15. The website will show you where the warehouses are located( https://www.costco.co.uk ) I find it really good for things like washing powder and other things that we can get in bulk. They also sell some clothing and things like TVs, washers etc. Whereabouts are you located?
