The only reply I got off Freecycle was "you can have my hubby" - not particularly helpful!

Have looked on ebay but was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere we could get a decent punchbag for an acceptable price??

Depends on your boxing plans. Are you just doing it to get fit? How heavy are you and how hard do you hit? if you get one that is too light it will swing too much. If you get one that is too heavy you might hurt yourself.

Try looking at boot fairs. I bought a kick bag and a punch bag cheaply that way a couple of years ago.
