In true 'old style' fashion, I am using washable nappies on my one month old baby. I am generally very pleased with them, but have just one wee problem.
Now, if you are at all sensitive about nappy contents, please do not read any further! My problem is that baby poos a lot - nearly every nappy change is dirty as well as wet. (Have checked with midwife and health visitor and there is nothing wrong with baby, this is just the way she is). This is hard (and unpleasant!) to describe but what happens is that the poo works its way to the edge of the liner and then into the seams/folds round the leg area of the outer wrap. Thankfully the wraps hold it in and it has never leaked over her clothes.
Bascially I have two questions. 1) do you think I am doing something wrong with the liner? Or is this just what happens?
2) the outer wraps have become stained round the seams and where the elastic bits are on the legs. Does anyone have any idea how I can get the stains out without damaging the wraps?
thank you
