Sexy Hair Volumising Gel - has anyone used it?

I was chatting with a friend whose hair seems to have miles more volume than mine and she mentioned that she used this product - swore by it. I'd never heard of it and wondered if anyone else had and could comment.
My hair is ok but I would like more body, I have it blow dried when I'm on holiday in the States and I swear it's different hair, it looks fab and I've tried various salons so it's not always the same products.
I tend to stick with John Frieda blonde shampoo, conditioner and mousse and every week I wash with either Aveda Shampure or Scalp Benefits to remove any build up.
Would love to know if anyone else has heard of this product?
Thanks

I have the Sexy Frizz control and I thought it was rubbish:(and expensive at just under £18 although of course their volumising products might be a lot better but I haven't tried them, when I was testing volumising products I found Treseme Shampoo and conditioner to be the best by a long way:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Although I havn't tried this exact product if you wanted some more MSE options I could suggest a few. Volume boosting products aren't new technology and in my opinion most of them are a much-of-a-muchness.
For a volumising gel you could try TRESEMME 24 HOUR BODY SCULPTING SPRAY GEL.
My personal favourite for getting volume is to use a spray, because they are naturally lighter and so are less likely to weigh hair down. The daddy of these in my opinion is the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Blowdry Lotion - you can buy a mini version to try for a couple of pounds from Boots. A more affordable version would be the TRESEMME 24 HOUR BODY ROOT BOOSTER SPRAY - which I'm currently using and find that it isnt as good as the JF product.
All these volume products are generally heat activiated so you spray them onto damp hair and then use the heat from the dryer on the roots to make the product work.
The easiest and most inexpensive way to get volume is to tip your half upside down until it's 80% dry and then finish the top section with a big barrel brush, using it to lift the hair and blow air from the dryer underneath. You could also just try backcombing at the crown, but I wouldn't suggest doing this often as it's quite damaging to the hair. Maybe you could even try one of those bump-it things from JML if you wanted instant volume every day with no extra stying products or damge to your hair?
One product which will give you crazy volume is the Tigi Superstar Blowdry Lotion (purple bottle) which is half a gel, half a liquid, but I find that my blowdry only lasts a day because it's so sticky and I have to wash it pretty pronto!
If you don't want to be using heat on your hair all the time, I suggest you dig out/invest in some Velcro Rollers. These are cheap as chips and you can leave your hair to air dry and then pop it up to get volume and shape.
You could also try using a dusting powder onto the roots of dry hair. There are a number on the market at the moment to choose from depending on how much you would want to spend. Aveda Pure Abundance Hair Potion being the dearest I've tried, and Lee Stafford Matt Fat Powder from Boots being the least expensive. I've also heard that the new Bastiste Nude Dry Shampoo (retails at around £3.49) works largely the same way but also has the bonus of being able to refresh your hair between washes, but I've personally yet to try it. I did find that the original Batiste in a can gave me some volume at the root. Two thumbs fresh!:money:0 -
Ive just started using Umberto Giannini volumising hair shampoo and I do think its very good. I am conditioning with L'oreal Elvive Nutri gloss and thats been good too.0

Thanks guys - 2 votes immediately for Tresemme suggests it might be worth a shot. I also like the fact that I can buy a trial sized version of the John Frieda one so I may opt for that first. Maybe I'm still living in the 80's but I just like BIG hair!NO FARMS = NO FOOD0
