Internet Delivery Charges to NI

Regarding postage to Northern Ireland, I have had several run ins with some internet based companies. It usually includes a geography lesson in what constitutes the United Kingdom, and also that Royal Mail DO deliver to Northern Ireland for the same cost as the rest of Britain.
At they minute they do - because they have to. Once the market gets opened to competition I think it will become a much more regional pricing system - Royal Mail will still have to have (I think) a 'one price fits all' system, but I don't believe a private company is held to the same deal. I reckon NI and Highlands and Islands of Scotland will suffer........

Unless of course the matter of NI and H&I being part of UK, and being treated as such is incorporated into the licences granted to these companies. Might be an idea to start a lobby group for the quango which will be used to appoint them.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

DMurray0 recommended https://www.diskdepot.co.uk and I contacted them with an order on Wednesday and the total cost of the order was £29.10. They charged only £5.10 for postage & packing - the parcel arrived this morning with everything in perfect order and I see from the postage paid stamp on the parcel that it cost them £8.25 - I cannot recommend them enough!!0

Further to my message below - this company this week has lots of special offers on but... the cost of ANY size order to UK Mainland AND Northern Ireland is £3.99 maximum! Don't think any other comapny could beat their specials this week.
