Most supermarkets over the past fortnight have had these on offer varying from £1 - £1.20 per box. Would it not be possible for you to stock up when on offer and then not worry so much when the prices temporarily shoots up? Asda seem to be putting them down to a £1 fairly regularly lately, i think its a max of 4 weeks between offers from what i have seen.

Lidl have the nescafe packets on offer at £1.20p today ( skinny ,unsweetened, original ) because i got a box.
  • I couldn't resist reading this thread! I'm exactly the same as the OP, my fave is the Nescafe Skinny capuccino although the skinny Latte is also nice for a creamier lighter drink. I found the mocha disappointing.

I also agree with the responses that this range is on offer everywhere on a regular basis so I stock up and fill the larder.

I made the hideous money saving mistake of buying the Sainsburys Value cappucino mix in a bag which I think is almost undrinkable! Not a viable alternative despite the saving!

It will be interesting to see what other people's preferences are.

    Xmas Saver!
I don't drink them, but my mother loves them...... I got her Kenco from Netto, and she absolutely loved them, they were on offer at £1.29 a box, she had the latte and cappicunio, and prefered them to the Nescafe brands.

I've done this recently when Asda had them on at £1 a box, however it's always on rollback so no end date given, good to know it's around 4 weeks. :)

  • I find they taste awful. What I do is get my favourite brand, make it black, then shake vigourously in an empty sealed container the amount of milk needed, cold milk is ok, and pour it into the coffee and stir it. If you need to make the coffe a bit more hot, 15 seconds in the microwave is ok. That way you get the brand of coffe you want without the artificial taste that those cappuccino packets have.

I love my coffee and have tried had many machines and tried many instants - through them all me and the OH find the nescaf sachets to be the best. Personal opinion.
