    have a clue?
  • Ours hasn't done that. Sorry. do you think there might be a small crack or something in your pan that causes the wet dough to seep out?
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
  • I think it is flour that spills out during the mixing and then burns during the baking. I get it too - I try to carefully wipe it away when the breadmaker is still warm, but really don't worry too much about it.

  • No, my 253 is relatively clean at the bottom (apart from a few errant sesame seeds, and so on). It sounds to me as if the seal surrounding the blade is faulty in some way - if it is still under warranty, I would definitely return it.

    Regards,

i have had the burnt crumbs but not much.think i'm jinxed with BM's.borrowed sis' 4 most of last yr and had no probs.she bought me the argos cookworks one 4 xmas.the first one was a complete disaster @ making bread and the lid on the replacement was loose.ordered the pana from amazon and waited and waited.it got as far as the DHL warehouse in lincoln and was lost so amazon sent me another one.after speaking with pana helpline i was told 2 send it back cos it wasnt baking properly.amazon were telling me it wasn't poss cos i'd had a replacement ( YES cos the first got lost) but they did change it 4 me.i havent really bin able 2 make a decent loaf since i got it even after getting tips on here and ringing pana.its doing my head in and so much hassle.
