Car Boot Sale success!

Had a great morning, despite the rain coming in and only being there for 3 1/2 hours, we made £192!! :j

We're selling our souls next because that's the only thing we've got left to sell now! :rotfl:
Debt as of Sept' 2015 (LBM!): £36,351  (sickening)

Well done - the old saying "one man's junk is another man's gold" (or something like that) is very true!! I wouldn't bother with the souls, they'll be ten a penny;)

It's amazing what some people will buy! Sold a Laurel and Hardy money box set even though the head was broken on Laurel they still bought it for 50p! :D

Hi Lizloz, I'm car booting in the Morning weather permitting. It's a great way to raise extra cash from your unwanted bit's. We still had some boxes unopened from our move 3 years ago, I recon If we have managed without the stuff in the boxes for all that time we don't need it anyway.

First week was great, second week 3 hours to make the stand money, but we did OK in the end.

I'm thinking now of buying clearance lots and asking relations if they have anything they want to get rid off. Even buying bits from other car booters to sell on.

Wishing you all the best when you do the next one.
    Regards, handyman.

    Hi LizLoz,

Well done on the car boot success. When things go particularly well they can be a bit addictive. Good luck with future sales
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Thanks guys - I suppose I have my husband to thank really as he had a load of old fishing stuff to get rid of and it couldn't be sold quickly enough! They were taking it out our car before we had chance to un-pack!

We've still got quite a bit left over and may try again once we've got some more stuff off other people - I've already had one offer of bits & pieces from someone at work!

Money has gone straight into my bank to help pay for our hols....bit of light relief!

Hope everyone does well at their boot sales! :)

I'm leaving in about half an hour to do my first boot sale in about 5 years, so very pleased to log on and see your post this morning! The last one I did was rubbish & put me off a bit really but I've got loads of stuff - the car is crammed full - so fingers crossed! :D
