Wishing Well help

hello!
just had a phone call from my friend who gets married in August (for the second time for them both). They are not asking for gifts at all, just donations (to charity). But the venue has asked them to have a wedding wishing well for cards. So she has asked me if I would like to make her one. I said I'd be happy to (I also got to go with her looking for the frock;) which was successful!)
So I had quick flick through the threads and have seen some beautiful post boxes.
HOWEVER
her new name will be WELLS so I (personally) feel it has just GOT to look like an old fashioned wishing well...
how big?
any tips?
much appreciated!

50cm x 50cm x 50cm should be fine
you can get large piece of card and make bowl shape. I was gonna have a go at papier mache but depends on time. i have also been looking at wooden ones (see argos planters for idea) in case it all goes wrong. i have got a design suggestion in a book but its a kiddy one so not sure how strong it will be which is why i was looking at strenthening it with the extra paper.
briefly, it suggested placing a wash bowl type thing inside a square box and then covering up. use more cardboard to make the roof. sounds simple enough but as i say, it does depend on time. is it early or late aug?Proud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0 -

There are quite a few planters out there, I'm not sure what your budget is but you can rearrange the list into prices or just use it to give you ideas, that first one is lovely with the little bucket!! (but £70 not very MSE)
I quite like the idea, you could have it as a keepsake after the wedding, if they have a garden!0 -
Not very MSE but less effort
