    You lot are fantastic :)

So even with the default date then it's definitely at least 6 years and I've never acknowledged the debt in writing or attempted to make a payment to them

But I will get a credit report by post to double check everything

    Again, thanks for everything :)

I've just had a look on a credit report by Equifax and this company "Global Debt Recovery Ltd" aren't even on it

the only company listed in the "Credit Agreements" section is a company called Arrow Global Ltd?????

And on my payment history, there's one default listed on the 5th March 2005 which is 19 months after I left home

The start date is listed as 13/06/02 (which is as far back as my credit report goes) and the default date is 15/04/05 but its NOT with the company I've had this letter from like I've stated, unless they've passed it on, changed names, I really dont know

I'm kind of confused as to why the default date is 19 months after I started missing payments (not to the DCA's) but credit cards, loans etc

    Hi

I think they are trying their luck, earlier in the year (about March I think) I had a demand from Arrow Global for debt which I had paid through payplan when I was on a dmp. I sent them one of the 'prove it' letters from here adapted slightly saying the debt had been paid. I havent heard anything from them since :)

For the moment i would not worry about games being played , The important thing is this debt being statute barred

Well from the looks of my report, this debt with Arrow Global Ltd isn't statute barred as the default date is listed as 15/04/05 but I don't understand that at all, I can't see how that's possible, like I said its a whole 19 months since I left home :S

And there's no mention of this company I heard from this morning, I really don't understand any of this

The default date means nothing ,the date that matters is when you last made a payment or sent them a letter acknowleging this debt , if that is more than six years the debt is statute barred

Thank's WRINKLES you did say that in an earlier post, sorry, in that case then it's statute barred with Arrow Global Ltd

Just wondering what this Global Debt Recovery Ltd is playing at, although along with Arrow Global its most definitely statute barred as well, its just the fact that they don't appear on my report
  • Hello All

i had letters from Tower Investigations Ltd and now one from Global Debt Recovery Ltd asking me to pay - no name of company or amounts just a reference number - i sent them a errr i know nothing about this debt letter from CAG site but i wondered who do Global Debt Recovery Ltd actually chase debts for??? or who do they buy them from?? a lot of sites mention Lloyds and TSB neither of whom i have had dealings with.

i have to my knowledge no outstanding debts and there is nothing showing on my credit report with experien ... my ex hubby was a toad with debts but i paid them all off when we split and have spent the last 7yrs being a good girl and getting all settled or satisfactory on credit report..

Help it is driving me mad not knowing who they could be chasing me for and am i right in thinking the debt would be statute barred anyway as i know nothing of it and have not been paying / corresponding with anyone about it for over 6yrs?/

    Hi
This might sound daft, but until they send you details of the alledged debt just ignore it

It does sound like a fishing trip, someone with a similar name or address
