FYI-- I was informed last time I went to the RE pub chain that if you take anyone under the age of 16 with you.. you can only have 2 drinks per table.. thats right. So if you take 3 adults only 2 of you can drink 1 drink each.. unless you sit at different tables.

My DH wasn't amused by this.

That's ridiculous... And how do they know that whoever you've taken is under 16?!

I did one recently with some family and made the most of it since I wasn't driving

I do hate that company. I went to one in Cardiff mid afternoon a few years back, I must have been 20 maybe, and I asked for a diet coke. They asked me for ID!! I had to repeat my order to check he wasn't about to put alcohol in it before I asked him why on earth I needed ID to buy a coke! Apparently if you're under 18 you have to be eating to be able to buy a soft drink in there.

That's really pathetic... :( Reminds me of the time I was asked for ID in Aldi for buying a crate of shandy :rotfl:

If I was trying to drink underage (I was 21 at the time anyway!) I'd have been buying something a lot stronger than shandy! :D
  • RE have excelled themselves. I have just recieved an email from them telling me about jobs in my area that contained ZERO jobs.

Argghhh, the RE pub's would be perfect for me as I have two within a short walk of where I live, but thanks to the blimmin times I can't do either because I have to be at work. Gah, fingers crossed I can find another job soon.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Over 50 and your too old for Bare bank jobs.
I know :( Wistful smile remembering the follies of youth!:D
  • I've just been looking at the jewellery shops on Bare. Finally my age is a bonus :D. But does anyone know what the ''fine jewellery'' requirement listed in the info is? Do I need to wear an item when I go (and if so, does an Elizabeth Duke wedding ring count ;)).

just filling in a react report, which asks me to describe the most and least memorable aspects of my visit. I strongly suspect they mean best and worst. By definition I probably cannot describe the east memorable aspect, as it obviously didn't trigger a strong enough reaction to remember it.

Or do they really want me to tell I hated one of the songs which played and that I have no real memory of walking out of the door? Idiots
